[SOLVED] Do I have enough wattage to overclock?

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z370-A
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB DDR4-3200
GPU: EVGA GeForce 1070 Ti 8 GB SC Gaming
PSU: BitFenix Whisper M 80 Plus Gold Full Modular 550W PSU

I am new to this, but I want to overclock my CPU to 4.7/4.8 GHz. Probably will not change any of the settings for the 1070 Ti. Do I have enough wattage to overclock or did I not leave enough headroom?

As you can see, if done right, you're probably only adding 15-20W to the stock power draw of the CPU/system.

If I keep the stock settings for the 1070 Ti and only OC my CPU, is my PSU sufficient? I really don't want to purchase another power supply, haha.

I really Dont recommend trying to do this as it would result in random pc shut downs

Yeah, I'd be surprised if you crest 400W system power draw even while [reasonably] OCd

Not that I doubt you, but would you mind providing a source for that? Also, like tennis2 said above, if I only overclock the CPU it should only add about 15-20W, so I don't think it will stress my PSU out too much.

Nvidia/AMD don't know the system you're putting their GPUs into and what quality of PSU you're using.
