Hi all I have a chipset question today for an old P3 board from a compaq Deskpro EN ENL/P1.0, on the chipset or if im right the north bridge chip is:

intel 815
FW82815
F119WW87
SL5NQ
intel 99

and on the southbridge is:

FW82801BA

but from this site: http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=339043

says I have a 815E if I have a 82801BA southbridge which I seem to have going by their table, their note is:

"Note the only difference between the 815 and 815E are in which I/O controller hub (south bridge) is used"

but it also says "Note - Most Intel chipsets are designed as a two-part system, using a North Bridge and a South Bridge component. Often the same South Bridge component can be used with several different North Bridge chipsets."

So which chipset do I have as 815 has ATA-66 and 815E has ATA-100.

I have not installed any OS yet but when I do would the program HWinfo list the chipset and or the IDE ATA speed?
