[SOLVED] Do I install the driver or GPU first?

So I'm buying a new graphics card and I read on the internet that I should install the GPU first and then the drivers, but will I be able to do It without the drivers installed? What I wonder is how the GPU is supposed to work without drivers installed. Sorry If it's a dumb question I'm just curious. What I think is I could connect the monitor to the integrated gpu to download the drivers, but I may just be dumb.

Install card first, then install drivers.

Until drivers are installed card works in reduced functionality mode (for compatibility). That means lowered resolution, no 3d acceleration. But it will show 2d desktop just fine.
