Do I keep my stuff in Windows 8.1

I Currently have the windows 8.1 trial and want to know if I buy it will I keep all my stuff?

once you purchase a product key and enter it in your current installed version, it should convert to a full version and should not effect your data and programs.

When you install Windows 8 it installs every version then the key you enter unlocked the version you paid for.
