Do I keep the on board audio or upgrade to a high end sound card?

Hi there, I was wondering whether I should stick with the on board audio on my Asus Maximums V Extreme (Realtek ALC898 7.1 CODEC) or if i should upgrade to the Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus 7.1 PCI-E Soundcard.. Is it really worth the money? I am using the brand new Astro A40 2013 Edition Headset.

For gaming the onboard is plenty, if you are audiophile and listen to lot of music then go with the card.
