Do i lose guarantee?

A friend of mine had a problem with her computer.

My question is if i use the Windows 8.1 option "Reset your pc" will the computer lose the guarantee?

It shouldn't harm the guarantee but it may be worth checking with your manufacturer just in case.

No it won't. It is there for a reason.

No, you are just going to wipe everything and revert the computer to the state it was when she bought it. Opening up the case and messing with components might void the warranty though.
