[SOLVED] Do I need 16gb for gaming or stay with 8gb?

Hello,
I just need an advice as I mentioned in the title, is it necessary for modern games to get 16gb or 8gb just enough?. Because if that so I would like to buy another 8gb ram.
My rig:
CPU: I7 8700 non (k)
GPU:1060 6gb
Mobo: MSI Z390 A pro
Ram : 8gb crosair 3000
PSU: antec 500

8 GB is enough for most games, but some games do require 16 GB. It honestly just depends on what games you play.

It depends on the games you play. If you're a fan of early access titles than yes, 16gb should be good. (early access titles like ark and rust.)

But 8gb is enough for any game imo.

But i have one ram 8gb and it is said to have 2x4 not one and Isuffer from suttring and lagging when playing metro ezodus so I thought it would solve the problem if I upgraded the ram to get dual ram to get better performance in games than pressing one ram to its limit. And ssd 250 samsung.
