Hello guys . I have a proper bridge connector arriving in a couple days but till then I'm using just 1 standard bending slinky 4 year old sli bridge . Does my system require two at least to perform to run properly I was just wondering ? Does just one hinder performance ?

Solution
in theory, no
in practice, two is better
in optimal conditions, special bridge taking up space of two is best.
http://www.pcworld.com/article/3087524/hardware/tested-the-payoff-in-buying-nvidias-40-sli-hb-bridge.html
as chart there shows:
1. 100%
2 soft, 100.7% (yes, whole 0.7% gain)
1 special bridge, 104.72% (yep, 4.7% gain over single soft bendy bridge)

in short... it will run properly with just one bridge. You will get bigger/better benefits once you go to high resolutions/high refresh rate but.. it's up to you.
