I was looking at gpu's for premiere video editing. I want to use it for gpu assisted rendering, and I am mainly looking at gtx 670's or 770's, any other reccomendations would help too. I don't know if need 4gb for 4k. I will mainly be filming 1080p 60fps, and maybe a few clips will be 4k 30fps. I will be exporting at 1080p though. I will not be gaming. Do I need those 4gb of vram, or would I be better off getting a faster 2gb card?

lets see. 4096x2160=8,847,360 total pixels. Times 32 bits per pixel = 283,115,520 bits = 35.4MB
nope, not for editing you don't need 8gb.

System ram would be a completely different story, you probably want to shoot for 32gb minimum.
