[SOLVED] Do I need a better rig to run a RTX 3080?

I'm planning to upgrade my rig, I would go for the RTX 3080, Asus Z490-e Gaming Motherboard, i9 10900k ... the thing is, my monthly budget is 1000€ which means I will have to buy one part in october and one part in november.

I would kinda like to buy the RTX 3080 first and put it in my current rig, and one month later I would buy the new CPU and new Motherboard. Would this be a good idea or should I buy the new CPU/Motherboard first and upgrade the GPU later?

My current rig:
GTX 1080
Msi h270 m3 gaming motherboard
32Gb Ram
i7 7700

Either way would work.

For just gaming I would probably drop down to a 10700K and save a good bit of money.

On the 8th of Oct we should know more about AMD 4000 series. I’d wait for that before making any decisions.

Make sure your PSU is big enough you will be adding about 300 more watts total for both upgrades.
