So I bought a sweet sound system to watch movies and listen to movies (Logitech-Z506) but my motherboard (Asus-M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+) only has a green audio port, not the orange and black one... What am I missing out on? Is it worth buying an audio card? Is an audioard worth buying over a new motherboard?

Solution
For cheap speaker systems like Z506, an on-board soundcard like on your M5A78L is already enough.
You won't get the surround and subwoofer outputs from the mainboard but I dunno if getting an extra soundcard or new mainboard is worth the price for that cheapo Z506.
I would rather live with the current audio setup and by the next time you upgrade your PC, get a mainboard with needed audio outputs.
Your current platform (AM3+) is not among the best anymore anyhow, you would want to get an upgrade to newer platform quite soon.
