My first build will be centered around the core i5 750. I have no experience overclocking but am planning to do so. Nothing extreme, definitely under 4ghz. Do I need a cooler at all? If so, will a cheap one like the CM Hyper 212 do? I live in the Philippines and it's gets pretty hot and humid over here. Does that make a difference?

Thanks guys

And if it helps, this is the rest of my prospective build.

I'd say for overclocking it would be very beneficial to get an aftermarket cooler, but not essential. I use a CM Hyper TX2 and they are in my opinion awesome budget coolers!

Cooler Master Hyper 212 and PLus version, are very good choices for OC. Plus version is a bit different and dedicated to 1156 socket. With that board u can't fix a 775 cooler without a 1156 retention bracket .

Good choice :bounce:
