Do I need a discrete GPU for normal use of a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor or will an integrated GPU be enough? I will use the setup for programming and some image editing -- NOT gaming.

Whenever I see this question asked its because of gaming requirements and frame rates. In my case, I will not be doing any PC gaming.

Thanks in advance!

the onboard video should be fine. make sure on first boot set the ipgpu video ram to max. most new mb let you set it from 512megs to 2024k in size.
if the onboard video cant go that high look at the newer 460 gpu that dropping soon. the newer gpu have more vram then the older cards and there faster and use less power. the 460 should be 100.00 video card.
