I have a gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 and going to install a AMD Phenom II X4 970 3.5 GHz Quad-Core , the cpu states no integrated graphics but my board has integrated at radeon hd 3000 so I'm confused if I need a graphics card .
Some processors have integrated graphics and some mobos have it too.
Your mobo has integrated graphics so you'll have graphics. If you plan on hard gaming or do visual intesive work then you'll want a card.
So as my gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 states integrated ati graphics I definitely won't need to purchase a graphics card as it's a pain to remove my current cpu and install my new one to find I have no display thanks for your help
In other words it's good to watch a video a 240 to maybe 480p. Anything above that is pushing it. Unless you're asking because you want to install an actual gpu and where just wondering if you'd actually get a display so you could install the drivers in which case yes. Their always has to be some sort of integrated graphics or it would be litterally impossible to do anything. Save memorizing some insanely specific movement/key commands.
