Stuff you didn't plan on happens, my 3rd Titan X is now on it's way to me in the mail. I currently use an Antec High Current PRO platinum rated 1000w PSU in my main rig. link

currently two overclocked Titan Xs and the cpu is an overclocked Gulftown 980X. Fancy extras drawing power include many fans, shiny LEDs, and a pump. + assorted storage drives, RAM etc

The HCP 1000w has the cables for a 3rd pcie card, but I don't have a device to actually measure my current power draw. Will the 3rd Titan X be fine, or do I need to grab a shiny new (stupidly expensive) PSU?

thanks

Solution
well ... your overclocked titans can hit 300watts. CPU is another 100+ watt, the rest is ~100watts.
do the math.
IMHO 1600watt is what the doctor says.
Though IMHO,. you'd be better getting new CPU instead of titan ;)

alrighty then, silly expensive new PSU it is then I suppose. thanks!

new cpu will come eventually xD just waiting for Intel to actually make something exciting again... Broadwell-e is pretty meh. maybe next time! (or heck, maybe Zen won't suck next year)

Titans just keep being added now because they have shot down in price used at a very fast rate this time. I was never planning on going beyond two, but if somebody messages me with a sweetheart deal for another with a block and backplate for it included, how do you say no??!
