pc specs:AMD ryzen 7 1700 3GHZ
gskill ripjaw V series 16GB
MSI GTX 1070ti
monitor: 1440p 144hz

I can't get past 60-65 fps in pubg. All my settings are set to low running on 1440p. All my drivers on my gpu are up-to-date. my monitor is set to 144hz. Is my cpu too outdated? Am i bottlenecking?

please help! thanks!

Solution
The game is poorly programmed. Even someone with a 2080ti and 9900k would have trouble with achieving high fps in that game.
You shouldn't need to turn down settings, as the 1070ti is a good card for 1440p. I'd imagine turning down settings is worse as you're just placing more load on the cpu.

What are your cpu and gpu temps like?
What is the speed of your ram, and how many sticks?
