Will I get an upgrade on performance if I switch my gtx 760 to a 1050ti?

Not really. Personally I wouldn't upgrade the 760 unless it's a to more powerful card like the 1070 or 1080.

I'd get at least a 1060 or higher up card to see benefits.

Yep. My 760 gave out and I got a 1060. Definitely a step up.
