Do I need a new PSU for this GPU upgrade?

Kind of concerned other whether i'll have to buy a more powerful power supply

IM not feeling to confident about that corsair cx unit.

Nvidia itself recommands a 450w quality unit.

Budget is pretty tight. Would my current PSU be functional until i can upgrade, or will it damage the GPU or affect it's performance

your psu will not damge the gpu or affect its peformance but it could pop , and in worst case it would fail your harddrive(pretty rare but the chance is there).

Yes, should be OK for NOW, but start saving money to get a newer unit.
