Do i NEED a new psu?

2x295gtx power consumption is 680 watts under load but then again sli on 295 only shows its muscle on a 30'' screen running crysis at 2560x1600 with 4aa in anything else 2 gtx 285 wil jus bout match it

you can zoom in on that picture for the details. easy to read at max zoom but i dont understand it lol

I got the computer for myself on the 21st for my birthday and come to find out my brother bought me the card without him knowing i already got one so im gonna run them in SLI. I just play WoW, WAR, Dawn of War 2 and Champions Online and i dont overclock it or anything if that helps at all.

Basically two 295GTX in SLI can consume a total of about 430w of power by themselves under load. Then you have the rest of your system.

In generally, any power supply that comes with a PC is usually crap. It would be helpful if they provided the make and model of the PSU. In any case, for SLI or Crossfire I would replace the PSU the comes in the PC with a high quality brand: Seasonic, Corsair, or PC Power & Cooling of at least 750w output.

- Cyberpower allows several quality PSUs to be specced. But apparently you bought a package and the only spec missing on Newegg is PSU wattage lol. Which PSU do you have (brand and model)?

-BTW, what mobo do you have (make and model)?

Suggest you return the card for cash credit, and go out on a date

I got enough money for a date thank you 😛 and its a gift so im not taking it back. the 2 cards will help me for my future with rage and such i guess. i have to wait till tommorow for it to come in the mail so i can elaborate on it.
