Solution

step one, open the case and look at the motherboard does it have a pcie slot?

step two, look at the power supply
what is the make and model? wattage? Does it meet the requirements for the card you want?

step three measure the space inside the case for the max length of the gpu that can fit

Try to find the full spec of your prebuilt pc, should say something about power wattage.
Should be good to go if your PSU has at least 300W or higher.
The GTX1050 requires only 75W to run, so u dont need extra PCI-E power cable.

it will be on the power supply sticker

gtx 1050 ti's require at least 300w, some also require a 6-pin pcie cable from the power supply

if your power supply is at least 300w, but has no pcie cables then you need to buy a gtx 1050 ti that gets all its power from the pcie slot.

Buyer beware

alright my power supply is 300w and im not sure if i have pcie cables and i believe that the you only need the 6 pin connector for the ftw model correct? so if i do have pcie cables i dont need to worry about anything or buy anything right? ill just put it in and its good?

some models from different makers require a 6-pin, so you need to make sure you buy one that does not

you might also need to make sure the motherboard bios is up to date
