I'm looking to widen and further my PC skills in my spare time so I can move into a career in tech in time. I know coding is a good skill to have in general and some of my higher tech savvy friends suggested I start learning coding with Python which I Picked up a book on.

In the book it suggest getting as Raspberry PI to learn command line skills on but I see you can download Python onto your PC.

So to learn just coding am I right in thinking I can learn Python on my PC windows 10 home in command prompt and then when I have the money buy as Raspberry PI to create physical programmable projects?

Any advice and experience appreciated.

Orion.

Do you need a Pi? Obviously not. It's just another platform.

Should you? Maybe. They're cheap, and it's another platform to get comfortable with.
