Do i need a sound card for the Sennheiser HD 598?

Okay i'm playing games competitively and what do you guys think? This is my motherboard btw it's the Asus Z170k here's a link to it's specs http://www.compsource.com/pn/Z170K/Asus-46/Z170k-Desktop-Motherboard-Z170k/

I only want to hear the enemy really well i don't care too much for music but that would be cool too i guess. Just want to see if my motherboard will do fine or not.

Asus Z170 mobos usually use the pretty good 1150 audio codec, so you should be able to get great sound even without a dedicated headphone amp

Only if its too quiet, many use headphone amps rather than soundcard

I think on the link from compsourse it says it's a ALC887 which supports 7.1 or something not too good with stuff like this. Do you think it'll still be good enough?

Step down from the 1150, but still good enough. Don't bother with a DAC unless you notice issues.
