Here is my situation, I have a nice gaming desktop computer, and i recently bought a replacement PSU from the U.S. I want to know if i need to buy some kind of transformer/electricity converter, and if so what type (I live in India)
I tried reading some articles on this, and all of them went over my head. Here is a link to the type of sockets India uses https://goo.gl/Ky4V5r
Here is the basic info you should need to answer the question, if you need more please let me know:

PSU Type:
Corsair HX850i Power Supply - 850W, 80 Plus Titanium, 140mm Fan

I just don't want it overloading all of the equipment inside. Thank you.

Solution
Modern PC power supplies (everything with 80+ certification) have universal input, no input voltage conversion needed.

Older PSUs before that had a 120/240V manual switch in the back to bypass the voltage doubler when operating on 220+V input and didn't need external input conversion either.

So I see India runs on 230V @ 50Hz.

This power supply can operate in a range of 100-240V and between 47-63Hz. So you're good there.

Newer PSUs, such as this, are auto-adaptive to the voltage coming from the wall, so long as it's in range (which it is). I do not think you will need anything extra to get it working.
