Hi,
I'd like to have Intel VMCS available for VM nestng.
VMCS only occurs on vPro CPUs.
There are a reasonable number of intel CPUs that support vPro.
Only a small number of mobos support vPro (Q* chipsets).
Unfortunately, vPro also comes with the awful and buggy and (historically at least) insecure remote management tools.
So...can I put a vPro CPU in a non-vPro motherboard and (a) have the CPU work and (b) have access to VMCS?
(the question boils down to why VMCS is only on vPro CPUs; is it marketing, or because the feature sets are tightly linked?)
