Do I need a WiFi adapter?

Hello, I am an extreme noob when it comes to PCs and have just finished building my first. My question is, how do i connect it to my internet? Do i have to buy something special such as a USB WiFi adapter? My new PC is in a completely different room as the router and modem as it is the second in my home. My motherboard is the GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah you will need a wifi adapter to connect to the router.
