Do I need a wifi card to connect to my router?

Hey,
I'm starting a PC build and gathering all the components, but do I need a wifi card to connect to my router? Or does it connect by itself?

Hi. If you want to connect to your router without using a wire, you will need a wireless USB or PCI Express adapter unless your motherboard already comes with one.
