I have an msi gaming trio 4090 it only uses 3x8pin so only 450w I’m getting two 16 pin 600w cables for my PSU just in case soon. Currently using a 12700k but soon it’s gonna be a 13900k. I just plan on leaving the 13900k at stock. I’ve only ever seen my system currently not go past 600w and all I do is gaming and it’s hooked up to a 1000w sine wave UPS. My PSU is a seasonic GX 1000w gold psu which I know can power what I’m gonna have but with all the adapter stuff and the cpu upgrade I was thinking. The only ATX 3.0 PSU you can order right now is the MSI 1000w one. Do I absolutely need one right or am I ok to wait until more manufactures release theirs later. I like the looks of the seasonic Vertex series.

Would this work i won’t be running the gpu past 450w and 13900k at stock

It's in the similar ballpark as your existing one. Also, don't think it's ATX3 standard. With that kind of specs. I would either aim for a bit higher wattage like 1200w just to keep some wiggle room for those nasty transient spikes. Or maybe try the existing one and then aim for a ATX3, in case it doesn't work.

Yeah I decided that’s not the one to get. I really like the platinum atx3/pcie5 msi ai1300p but it’s out of stock. In fact I’m having trouble finding anything sufficient in stock.
