Hey guys I building a PC for the holiday here is the part list : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6CvFKZ (I don't have an HDD because i already have one) I'm wondering if i really need to have the 6500k because I could drop to a 6500 and save some money and maybe go for a 1070. I'm going to be playing at 1080p and I want to play most games at 60 fps ultra settings. I tend to play games like Skyrim and fallout.

if you dont go for a I5-6500K you dont need a Z170 motherboard... save some there as well... Id go for a 1070 as those games youve listed are a bit heavier on the gpu rather than the cpu. other than that good lad picking a decent psu 😀

So is my i5 6500 going to struggle in 2 years? Im okay with replacing but then i might have to replace the motherboard too?

BCLK overclocking comes with a number of major drawbacks like loss of integrated graphics and CPU temperature monitoring. It also only works on select motherboards with a specific beta BIOS, which you are stuck with in perpetuity if you want to keep overclocking as all subsequent BIOS revisions don't support BCLK overclocking. It can work, but it probably isn't a good idea to do it unless you really know what you're doing and you can deal with the drawbacks.
