I bought a Dell G15 5520 laptop a while a go and i wanted to upgrade its SDD , do i need to buy a heatsink for the new SSD or not ?
Also I have read/watched some tutorials and they have some contradictory/terrifying statments:
"You should always disconnect it because otherwise you'll brick your laptoo"
"You shouldn't disconnect it because the battery connector is to fragile and you are more likely to break it than to damage the laptop with static"
"If your hand, screwdriver or any screws touches the motherboard, your laptop is bricked"
i have no experience dealing with laptops whatsoever and i'm clumsy is it really that easy to short circuit the motherboard while changing a simple thing such as the ssd? what are the steps i should take to prevent that to happen or any good general tip for dealing with laptop componets?
