I have a AMD R9 380 2gb with an fx 6350 and 16gb ddr3 2400mhz ram and im upgrading to a gtx 1060 6gb with a amd ryzen 5 1600 3.4ghz and i wanted to know if i needed to buy anything else to upgrade it. I heard i have to buy ddr4 ram and a am4 socket motherboard. Is this correct and is there anything else i need to buy. Thanks :)

Looks about right, only thing i'd debate is psu. I'm not incredibly informed on the wattage of everything, but i'd say you'll probably want at very least a 500w psu. Honestly for that cpu I'd say a 1070, because a 1060 and R1600, you'd probably bottleneck gpu in gaming. But I could be wrong. Also, for a 1070/R1600 build, you'll probably want a bare minimum of 550w, depending on the gpu model.

Your fine with the listed parts, yes you will need new DDR4. Something you should know about a Ryzen processor is that you should get the fastest speed Ram DDR4 you can afford. The faster you can get the better your processor will perform. A big part of the Ryzen platform is the speed of the Ram (DDR4) so again, the faster the RAM is that you get, the better it will perform. But the sweet spot is usually 3000MHz or higher. Or get he highest speed that is on sale. Either way I think you'll do fine.
