Do i need aura sync?

So i bought a deepcool gammaxx gt rgb, and when i got it, it says Aura sync on the front.. My question is, do i need an Asus Aura MB to change the LED color on the cooler og can it be done otherwise?

Itll work on any 4 pin 5050 standard board header, or you can use the included mini wired remote.

Okay Awesome! Im sorry for Keep asking questions, but do I need some software to do that? Since my mb does not support Aura.

No there's a physical wired remote with 3 buttons that you plug the rgb into.
This is powered straight from the psu via a sata connector.

If you remove a pci plate from the back of the case the you can hang this remote out the back of the case so you have access to it without having to keep removing your case side panel
