I was browsing to buy a new GPU, I came across couple reviewers that got my attention, I am trying to buy EVGA 1080 ftw but the question is, no I need to update my BIOS in order run it with out any problems.

user benchmark shows its compatible. Still bios upgrade is usually a good idea, they exists for a reason and aas long as you don't find a lot of cursing threads, you're fine with upgrade.

The reviewers were saying they had to update their bios in order to stop their pcs from crashing after installing the GPU.
it's good to hear that I won;t need to update BIOS since everybody on the internet is saying don't do it unless you absolutely have to which I agree.
