Hey guys so I'm getting an elgato soon. I'm going to be recording PC and Xbox one. When I'm recording on my PC do I need to have dual monitors? I've seen a lot of videos of people recording with duel monitors. I just wanted to know if I need them and what are they used for. Thank you in advance.

Solution
you don't have to but if you recording something you usually would have to keep watching it as its recording in case something goes wrong so you wouldn't be able to use anything else on your computer until its done.

with a dual monitor setup you can have the recording on one monitor while doing other stuff on the other

Solution
It's not necessary, but it's very beneficial because it allows you to "adjust the recording/stream" without minimizing whatever it is you're recording.

Once you get two monitors you get really used to being able to have 2 full windows open at the same time, so you can be playing the game on one and watching youtube on the other, or have a walkthrough/wiki for the game open on the other/ect.
