Hello

i have to chose the cpu

i want to do video editing/3D modeling(sckechup)/gaming and lower intesive apps...

im in the i5 2550k (same price as the 2500k) or the 2600k

can i do heavy 3d modeling and hd video editing on a oc 4.1 ghz 2550k?
(i really dont care about rendering time, just to run smothly..)

Well the i7's HT can add upto 30% extra performance in video editing/3D modeling types of jobs, BUT it cost a disproportionate $100 more :( For gaming the i5 is enough. :)

Between the 2550k and 2500k, i highly suggest u get the 2500K. Both chips OC the same, but if your discrete graphics card fails, u'll be stuck with no display for some time!!!
OC 2500k to 4.1?? Sure you can :) All d best:)
