i have to chose the cpu

i want to do video editing/3D modeling(sckechup)/gaming and lower intesive apps...

im in the i5 2550k (same price as the 2500k) or the 2600k

can i do heavy 3d modeling and hd video editing on a oc 4.1 ghz 2550k?
(i really dont care about rendering time, just to run smothly..)

Well the i7's HT can add upto 30% extra performance in video editing/3D modeling types of jobs, BUT it cost a disproportionate $100 more For gaming the i5 is enough.

Between the 2550k and 2500k, i highly suggest u get the 2500K. Both chips OC the same, but if your discrete graphics card fails, u'll be stuck with no display for some time!!!
