Hi,
I have Asus h81m-cs motherboard, i5 4460, corsair vengeance 8gb ram 1600mhz, zotac gtx 650 1gb, corsair vs450 PSU, and only one HDD Seagate 1000vx000 1tb(no ssd)..

1. Do I need to install Intel rapid storage technology what it is for??
2. I have xmp feature in bios, so if I enable it will it give me any performance gain as Intel only support ram speed upto 1600mhz and my ram is already 1600mhz.

Solution
1. No, you do not need IRST.

One main feature is to use a small SSD for fast accessed files in conjunction with a hard drive. It is the same concept as a Hybrid (SSHD) but physically with two separate drives. It does not make great sense in most scenarios now that SSD drives are cheap.

For example, you could add a 20GB SSD if you had one handy, but if you wanted the performance I would just get a 120GB SSD or better to put Windows on.

2. XMP:
I would enable it anyway as it may optimize the timings, but it probably will not make any noticeable difference.
