Do I need liquid cooling?

Hi I plan on building my first pc and I paln to get the i7 4790 cpu and a geforce 970 gpu. But i was wondering if i should get liquid cooling for my cpu or if I could get away with using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo without worring about overheating since i'm not gonna be overclocking. Thanks

It depends on your environment. Is the ambient temperature kept comfortable or does it sometimes get quite hot (over 30°C)? The 212 Evo is fine for normal environments, particularly when you can't overclock the CPU.

The CM hyper 212 evo will be fine.

i5 4460 will be the perfect match with the 970

if you are not overclocking the cpu, if there is a good cabinet with a good airflow inside the cabinet, i prefer to go with the air cooler

water cooler is only required when you want to overclock the cpu to higher frequencies
