I have a large flat screen (49in) when streaming tv through a proxy and the internet is busy I get buffering if I minimise the picture I get less buffering, I have lots of memory and a fast cpu will it help if I buy a graphics card Im sure someone will say I need more bandwidth but I have 20 meg at good times prob 10 at bad times and less with the proxy, thanks for any answers. Solution
A GPU wont help with buffering unfortunately. And even if you have a superfast connection, if the server you are streaming from is slow then theres nothing that can be done to fix it.

Since you are using a proxy it will be difficult to isolate your issue since a lot of your "network" isn't really in your control. The proxy could be overloaded, the input or output bandwidth of the proxy could be maxed. If you are paying for proxy service, I might raise an issue with your provider.

Thanks to BSOD BSTD and Kanewolf that would explain why using the proxy will half the band speed, I did try alternative servers without success, anyone know a good English proxy, Im using Foxyproxy at the moment. Thanks in anticipation
