Do I need the graphics card fan plugged in?

Recently my EN9400GT graphics card fan started making noise. So I took apart my graphic cards hoping I can oil the fan. Unfortunately I broke the fan apart, and I couldn't find a replacement fan online. So I am wondering if I can put everything back in without the fan and still use the computer?

I mainly use it for photoshopping pics, surfing web, typing documents, and pretty much playing Counter-strike 1.6.

My current computer configuration:

- ASUS P5KPL-AM Motherboard
- PCIe x16 / PCIe 1.0

- Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80 GHz
- 4 GB, DDR2 1066 RAM
- Corsair 500 W PSU

Solution
Yes the computer will work, but under any load the GPU will overheat causing downclocking / system instability, get a desk fan, take side of PC off and aim it at the gpu, you might get abit more use out of it =P
