I just used nero to make winme boot cd. is there any reason I should keep a floopy drive in my computer? im always working in my case and an annoying floopy drive with an extra cable are just a headache.

Not really. But just as soon as you take the floppy out, you'll need it again due to the Murphy's Law Corollary. I usually revamp the default boot floppy too, putting the format, edit, ghost programs on it.
