From the manual:

Supports 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD® Ryzen™, Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics, 2nd Gen AMD® Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics, Athlon™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics,

I'm not an AMD fan and have no idea about generations, but you should do, That same page also contains new BIOS releases, with their release notes - have a look at them.

MSI A320M-A Pro MAX - CPU Support List

Earliest BIOS file is 7C52v20.zip. This is native BIOS version installed on the board and the Ryzen 3200G is supported by this BIOS version, so no. A BIOS update is not required.
