My current RAM stick is a G.Skill Ripjaws-V 8GB 2133MHz DDR4. I want to upgrade my existing memory to 16 GB because 8 GB isn't quite adequate anymore. However, I can hardly find a 2133 MHz stick although 2400 MHz G.Skill ones seem to be readily available. My motherboard is GA-B250M-HD3.
So, my question is, if I add a G.Skill Ripjaws V 8GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM to my existing one, will I get an all total 16GB worth of effective memory?
