Do I need to buy windows 7/8 if I build my own gaming computer

Im looking into building my first gaming computer, and I know that a lot of these are saying not to buy the combos from newegg but I've found one in which I think will suit most if not all of my needs http://m.newegg.com/Combo/ComboDetail?comboid=1863960&combotype=2
My question is do I have to buy Windows 7/8 or will it come with a version.
Also, should I invest in a solid state drive with this set up?
It will mainly be used for games such as (heavily modded) Skyrim and the Sims, maybe one or two newer titles.

But if it's a combo of mobo + CPU + RAM or whatever it is you will still need to buy an OS to go with it.

Yes, you will need to buy an OS. It does not come with one, unless specifically stated in the item list.

Yes, and if you buy Windows 8 you will get Windows 10 for free when they release it
