I didnt realize it but when I got my ssd drive and cloned my old drive to it I didnt change it to ACHI.

I read that intel motherboards have ACHI enabled when using RAID so do I need to change it? the original setup is/was RAID and in the BIOS its still RAID. If I try to change it I get issues and it wont boot up..of course.

Just want to make sure ..dont really want to do a re-install..cause it was a fresh install on the old hard drive I just cloned.

You don't have an actual RAID array, do you? AHCI is a subset of RAID and drives connected to a SATA port in RAID mode will default to AHCI mode IF not part of an RAID array. I would imagine you are good to go, but you can always download HDTune (free trial) and do some benchmarking and speeds tests.
