Hello I was wondering if I should get an aftermarket cooler for my evga gtx970? I'm looking to overclock it soon. If I should do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Solution
There really aren't any aftermarket solutions for cooling graphics cards.

There are a handful, but they are expensive and don't do much better than the factory solutions, if any.
Personally I would but that is me, if your temps are good (whole card and not just the core) then just give overclocking a try. The real cause of unstable overclocking is the rest of the card getting hot while people only focus on the core temps, people practically yolo it then wonder why their cards bricked some months later ending up on eBay as fodder.

If you live in a hot and humid climate go aftermarket mainly as preventative maintenance.

Arctic cool makes a really poor quality all in one. NZXT Kraken allows you to put an all in one on...
Raijintek makes a real big hunk of copper you can stick on.
Obviously EK water blocks...

But i mean is there some aftermarket solution that is actually good that I've been missing out on?

What does humidity have to do with anything? It actually increases thermal conductivity of air.

Most of the humid climates often come with higher temps, some of the old guard that used to post here were good modders and could get anything onto a card 😉

Come to the south and south west when it is 110 to 120 outside.
