I have an E6440 with Windows 10 installed on it, My only storage device is a Samsung 860 EVO mSATA 250GB...

Do I need to install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver ??

if so, Which one of the following drivers should I install (There are two drivers on Dell's E6440 product page):

Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console
Intel Rapid Storage Technology F6 Driver

YES. You Really do....... get the newest you can find for your chip set. and then disable windows write cache buffer flushing on every drive connected to it, that will activate the built in cache on your controller, and will more or less double your speed.

And don't forget to set it to AHCI mode in bios..

Here are drivers for Win10 if you need them.

Turn write cache OFF?

"more or less double your speed"

Pretty outlandish claims.
I'd need to see some documentation on this.
