[SOLVED] Do I need to look at the AMD ram QVL list?

Or just the motherboard qvl list?
The AMD qvl list has much less ram listed as compatible than the asus prime b350m-a motherboard I’m looking at. (I am still searching so this may not be my final choice). New to the pc master race and would appreciate some help with this topic!
(Apologies if this question is stupid, again I’m new to computers)
