Do I need to overclock my CPU to use high speed RAM with XMP Profile?

Hi! My question is,I have a 4770K,currently at stock speeds,if I'm planning to get for example a 2400 Mhz DDR3 RAM do I have to overclock my CPU or set some voltages higher to run this RAM with the XMP profile set,or are the two unrelated? Thanks for the answer!

No need for overclock.Just go into bios and activate XMP and that is all.Profile on RAM stick will load needed voltages and timings.
