do i need to power my riser?

do i need to power my riser while mining if i already supply the graphic card from the psu itself,and is it fine if i supply the riser with molex while mining with RX580 8GB.and will corsair HX1000 sufficient to provide enough cables for 6 RX580 and 6 riser cable

Yes you need to power the riser, the GPU still draws power from the PCI-E slot.

Yes you can power the riser via molex, but not more than two risers per string of Molex cables. A molex cable typically has 4 connections, you can only connect 2 risers to the 4 available per cable.

An hx1000 is insufficient for a six RX580 mining rig even if the cards were heavily undervolted. You'd need at least a quality 1200w or dual 600w, and that's with undervolting all of the cards.

The molex cable will handle the voltage, but only if you do not connect more than two risers per cable. Any more than two will melt the cable.

Yes dual 1000w would be sufficient, and totally overkill.
