I have a R5 2600 with the stock cooler and I accidentally mounted it upside down so the AMD logo is above the A1 RAM slot. Wasn't a big deal till now, I want to mount some extra RAM but the stick won't fit.
Problem is I live in a small town and it's not easy to find thermal paste. Just wondering if there would be consequences just flipping the cooler around without cleaning and reapplying paste.

Solution
Rule of thumb here is that any time your remove the heat sink from the CPU, you clean both and re-apply new thermal paste. Not doing so can create air pockets that do not transfer heat and your CPU overheats and throttles down.
