Question Do i need to replace my mouse ? wheel problem

Was fine untill last night,i dont know how to explain this but wheel no longer has clicking sound and feel when rotating,but when i hold the wheel for 2,3 secs i get some kind of stuff that pops up on my screen and allows me to scroll,but regular scroll doesnt work for some reason.Is it broken ?

If mouse has warranty, RMA it. Otherwise buy a new one.

In my years, i've RMA'd one mouse since scroll wheel button (when pressed down) stopped working.

What is the brand of the mouse? If it is a cheap mouse we are talking about, not a gaming grade, buy a new mouse, replacing it probably would not justify the effort.

But if we are talking about a gaming mouse, it is possible to find a spare and replace the part.

I replaced my G400s's wheel and now it runs fine, and two G403's switches will be replaced sometime, I have switches but so far haven't found a spare time.

It is a Chinese brand, but I am unable to find any spare in aliexpress.com. The model is at the cheaper side thus, buying a new one seems like the right solution.
